Intention:

In rhythm with the subjects of soft fascination, Ikebana, and the Japanese ritual of tome ishi, Item: Enso is an outlet for exploratory methods where metal bends to reach the light like a flower would. An autodidactic practice, each object is made entirely by hand by interior designers Yuria Kailich and Joel Harding in New York City. Enso pieces unearth a layered harmony around the use of wood, ceramic, metal and antique textiles, as a testament to the Enso process.

Scope:

Brand design for Yuria & Joel, based around the enso logo they had drawn in ink. Over the years we continued to refine elements such as secondary typefaces and various web designs, in harmony with the brand’s ethos.
